Wetumpka Impact Crater Presentation
Special guest lecturer Dr. David King of
the Auburn University Department of Geology will give a presentation about the
Wetumpka impact crater Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Old Wetumpka Post
Office.
Wetumpka Impact Crater Presentation
The annual Wetumpka Impact Crater Tour will take place on
Saturday, Feb. 21 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. If you have never been on this
tour, you will be amazed at massive size and beautiful natural features of the
crater. Space is limited, so make your reservations now. The cost for the tour
is $10 for TOLA members and $20 for non-members ($10 for children aged 6-15).
The tour is not recommended for younger children.
Van transportation will be provided from Gold Star Park
for a two-hour guided tour of the crater area. For more information, please

Wetumpka Impact Crater Ride
A road bicycle ride around the rim of the crater will
depart from Gold Star Park in downtown Wetumpka Sunday, Feb. 22 at 12:00 p.m.
There is no charge to participate. The hilly 20+ mile route is not recommended
